Before completing her Bachelor of Education at the University of Calgary, Lindy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in International Relations and a minor in Indigenous studies. As part of her degree program, Lindy studied Spanish as a second language and completed various Latin American Studies courses. Lindy’s passion for traveling, learning about other cultures, and studying Spanish led her to undertake various travel experiences, including multiple trips to Mexico, Cuba, and Costa Rica. Lindy recently returned from spending two months in a small town in Costa Rica where she furthered her Spanish studies at a language school.
Throughout her university career, Lindy also developed a passion for teaching English as a second language. She spent several years volunteering her time teaching English to newcomers in Canada. In 2015, she earned her Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from Costa Rica TEFL. Aside from teaching and traveling, Lindy’s other passions include running, yoga, and attempting to surf!contact
